Giving back to the Community is not an option, it’s a privilege! ~ Savvy
This last few weeks was a roller-coaster ride of volunteering effort for me from Spirituality to Maya. Meeting saints like Mukundananda from JK Yog to Sri Devanatha Jeeyar Swamy helped to calm down my [over] energetic pulses. Baba says, Saints have positive energy and the aura and visiting them results in absorbing some of their energy into you. All you have to do is just go and sit there, that’s it. No less, No more.
Coming to Maya, lol, can’t believe I am using this word. 😉 Meeting humble souls like Vinod Kumar, Karimnagar MP or Deshapathi Srinivas was the highlight of the year. Humility drives Humanity. Everyone hates politics but back of their minds one wants to become a Politician. But these two have helped me to understand how down to earth attitude wins the hearts. If you want to be a leader, be a team member first. And, they have totally impressed me with their personalities.
Surprisingly, today, Sir Viv Richards had mentioned the same. Staying grounded would reap benefits is the gist of his humble speech. In his words, “When you are grounded, even if you fall, there’s less chance to get hurt. Be humble and keep your feet firm on the ground always”. Successful leaders from different countries sharing the same thoughts, excites me.

In addition, meeting Kenton Lee (long pending post, will share it soon) and Stew Leonard Jr. is the achievement from the professional front.
I did meet – and continue to meet – the great souls in this journey of volunteering. Everyone I met had an influence on me – some were Protons and the rest are Electrons / Neutrons. I disowned the latter while making “very few” good friends who I can count on.
All this would have not possible without the volunteering mindset. Best part is, YOU have familiar faces every nook and corner greeting with a warm smile.
Sometimes, it’s tough to know thyself. With limited knowledge, I could figure out that, people energize me. They bring the best in me. And volunteering is one of the platforms to channel the energy in a right way.
My way of paying gratitude to life is by giving back to the Community through the Service (time or charity). Some people THINK of giving and others INK it. I’m glad I am in the latter group!
